Doctors (K-drama)2016

Doctors.  I was on the downhill of feeling tedious in this drama, but what keeps me going?

Well, the actors, especially Hong Ji-Hong (Kim Rae-Won), I really like the best part of his character; matured, charming, optimistic and rational. In fairness, most of the actors, even the cameo portrayed their characters well. Park Shin-Hye (Yoo Hye-Jung), no doubt, is superb. I think the cast have all managed to keep the drama going.

Despite the age gap of the main couple, they were suitable for each other. Their chemistry was captivating.

The sweet hugs, kisses and the way Yoo Hye-Jung and Hong Ji-Hong’s relationship developed from unfilled trust to maturity. I like the way they handle of comprising each others differences, opinions and sentiments.

The drama was great in the beginning, especially the delinquent character of Yoo Hye-Jung (Park Shin-Hye), a personality that holds the hard wall, reckless and quite, but tough, seldom smiled, but charming. However, after episode 6, I feel like the story line of every chapter were lack of clustering. It became plain, cliché, predictable and monotonous. Compare to other medical dramas, the story just conveys more on to political issues, family brawls and past struggles.

Though the finale didn’t leave me with a BANG, it’s still decent to know that everyone gets what they deserve, not a mere vengeance, but a total healing. Greediness will consume your simple happiness in a life full of disastrous controversy.

To those who can accept defeat, can let go of the past and respect the life of others can walk on ahead with hope waiting, hand in hand with someone you love.

I don’t know since when I loved him. I don’t know since when I started loving him, but I have been loving him all along. When you meet the one, you forget when your love started.

– Yoo Hye-Jung

verdict: 8/10
